Twitter is fun now because of the chaos with all those hijinx. But the fun never lasts. Eventually the dust will settle and we'll see what it will become. I hope it does survive as a bastion of free speech.
I am confused. The old system, which verified users: was it actually free, and did some real employee spend some time verifying that the user was who they claimed to be? And then that (blue check) system was dumped?
And that was replaced with a $8 per month system where the users weren't actually verified? Is that what happened?
It's my understanding that it's largely due to Twitter that the false flag attack on Poland was exposed.
